Why We Love the iPhone 6 &

What It Means for Your Business

Here at Amerisource, we love our iPhones - including the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Most of our employees rely on their iPhones for keeping in touch with clients through email, phone calls, text messaging, and more.

With the launch of the next generation of iPhones, we're specifically excited for two new features: improved battery life and the new Apple Pay. Here's why:

Battery Life

For most of us, our smartphones play the role of personal assistant, office manager, and communication specialist - all in one. But, our phones are only as reliable as their battery. Those of us who have upgraded did so from either an iPhone 4S or an iPhone 5, and Apple promises battery life improvements between 20-100% for talk time and internet usage (depending on model). We're no experts (you can see what they have to say), but we've been amazed by just how long our new iPhones are lasting us. We're easily getting a full day - if not longer - when we would normally be searching for a power outlet right around lunchtime.

Apple Pay

With the introduction of NFC in the latest generation of iPhones, Apple is putting the power of mobile payments right in the hands of your customers. Apple Pay allows consumers to connect their credit cards with their iPhones and then make payments (both in-person and online) with a tap of their finger. Several companies have attempted to break into the mobile payment space, but experts forecast the wide adoption of the new iPhones to help bolster Apple Pay into the mainstream retail space. We're all for anything that helps businesses sell to consumets, and we're also happier to get our Starbucks fix that much quicker.

Gateway to Wilderness:
The Hungry Jack Lodge

One of our most favorite vacation spots is located in the northern part of Minnesota. It is truly one of those places on earth that you should visit at least once in your lifetime. We’ve visited now four times and stay at the same place - The Hungry Jack Lodge in Grand Marais, MN.

Trust me, this is one of the most beautiful spots you will ever visit. Days are spent lounging, reading, hiking and canoeing on the amazing lakes which are basically 30 miles from the Canadian border.

Amerisource Employees Lend Helping Hands

This past August, Amerisource was a proud sponsor of Cyprus Christian School's annual Blue & White Night. Blue and White Night is a back-to-school event for CCS K-12 families, faculty, staff, administration, and board members. CCS welcomed more than 680 new and returning Warriors as the school entered its 37th year.

The annual Blue & White Night back-to-school event was held in the football stadium on Friday, August 15, 2014, and included a concert from the Robbie Seay Band and a preview of the upcoming fine arts musical. In addition, families were given the opportunity to gather information on the many different programs and volunteer opportunities at CCS.

Congratulations to the CCS champion teams - Girls' Track and Field Team and Varsity Baseball - who were presented with state championship rings during the evening's program.
